Together, we will dive into the origins, science, and healing benefits of this profoundly restful practice in this 4-week course. No previous experience with Yoga, Yoga Nidra or Guided Relaxation required. Just a genuine desire to learn and be part of the group.

Meets on Tuesdays at 5pm via Zoom.

Yin Yoga workshop

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced approach where floor poses- primarily targeting the legs, hips and spine- are held for a longer period of time in a relaxed manner, up to 5 minutes or more. In this way, the benefits reach deeper into connective tissues, enabling enhanced flexibility. Yin Yoga might appear easy at first glance, however the challenge remains in keeping stationary while cultivating stillness. Yin is a quiet practice that invites you into an intimate relationship with your body and mind. Kripalu-style Sharing Circle

Kripalu-style Sharing Circle

Join me for a traditional Kripalu-style Yogic Sharing Circle. This is not a Yoga class, rather a chance to sit in community with other like-minded Yoga-lovers. You will be led in a centering and brief Pranayama (Yogic breathing) practice. Then each person, in turn, will have a chance to share about whatever is in their heart or on their mind. Come as you are. All of you is welcome here! Meets via Zoom.

The rest of the group will hold sacred space for you and simply listen. At a time when you may be more physically isolated than ever and practicing social distancing, this is an opportunity to feel the truth of our connection and to sit in Sangha (community) and be held in its loving and supportive presence.

Before we start, I will outline the guidelines and agreements for the Sharing Circle, which include: confidentiality (everything said in the circle remains in the circle); no cross-talk, questions or advice-giving; and active listening. I will also model by sharing first. We will close with a brief meditation.

This is a profoundly healing practice that I originally learned at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where I lived and trained as a Yoga Instructor. The Sharing Circle is also part of all of my Yoga Retreats and Yoga Vacations. I hope you will be part of this special offering.

Workshop with Girish- a private Yogi Appreciation Event

This event is for members of my Yoga classes only. Social time from 6:30-7pm. Workshop from 7pm-8pm.

Girish, an accomplished musician of many genres, former monk infused in spiritual practice, loving wordsmith linking lyrics and rhythm in a blissful musical event, sings traditional Sanskrit mantras with a modern, funky, yet deeply devotional twist.  Girish has been recommended by “The Guardian,” “O, The Oprah Magazine,” “Yoga Journal,” “Spirituality and Health Magazine,” and more.  Girish's original music catalog of five albums is popular in yoga studios and music festivals all over the world, and his book, “Music and Mantras” (Atria/Enliven/Simon and Schuster) continues his work to teach the art of meditation through music, to the world.
